01Why now

Regulation makes lighting a must-have topic.

Several rules apply at the same time – some affect the lamps directly, others the energy balance of your building.

  1. 2023

    End of fluorescent tubes

T5 and T8 tubes may no longer be placed on the market. Replacements only come from remaining stock – failures get more expensive.

  2. 2026

    EU buildings directive transposed

Germany has transposed the EPBD (EU 2024/1275) with its building modernisation act. Minimum energy performance standards are coming for non-residential buildings.

  3. 2027

    Sustainability reporting for large companies

After the Omnibus package, companies with more than 1,000 employees and €450m turnover report for 2027 for the first time – and ask their suppliers for data.

  4. 2029

    Building automation from 70 kW

Non-residential buildings with heating or cooling systems above 70 kW need building automation by the end of 2029. Lighting control is part of the concept.

  5. 2030 / 2033

    Minimum standards apply

From 2030 no non-residential building may be among the worst 16 % of the stock, from 2033 not among the worst 26 %.

EU taxonomy: installing energy-efficient lighting falls under activity 7.3 (installation of energy efficiency equipment). This can matter for your financing and for customers with reporting obligations.

As of October 2026. Overview, not legal advice – we check which obligations apply to your building case by case.

02Two ways

You decide how we work.

The LED check is free in both cases. Afterwards you choose the model that suits your project – and always know who pays us.

Way 1no advisory fee for you

Implementation with a manufacturer partner

We plan and support the conversion with one of our vetted manufacturer partners. You receive the offer directly from the manufacturer; the partner pays us.

  • Lighting concept and offer from the manufacturer partner
  • Funding, installation and acceptance coordinated
  • Fastest route to implementation

Way 2manufacturer-neutral

Independent advice for a fee

We are exclusively on your side: manufacturer-neutral tender, offer comparison and award. In this engagement we accept no commissions.

  • Tender and offer comparison
  • Decision paper and award
  • Fee by proposal, fixed price or time and material

In both ways: business case, funding, emergency lighting and verified savings.

03Our approach

Consult. Coach. Change. – for your lighting, too.

CONSULT

Check and business case

  • Record existing lighting and usage
  • Calculate savings and payback
  • Check funding options
  • Assess emergency lighting too

COACH

Prepare the decision

  • Lighting concept with partner or neutral tender
  • Make offers easy to understand
  • Apply for funding
  • Decision paper for management

CHANGE

Implementation and verification

  • Coordinate installation during operation
  • Keep schedule and quality in view
  • Acceptance with light measurement
  • Consumption before and after

05Verification

Results that fit your balance sheet and report.

A conversion needs clean verification: we record a baseline before the replacement and document afterwards what was actually saved.

  • Metering concept and baseline before the conversion
  • Consumption before and after, per site
  • CO₂ balance of the energy saved (scope 2)
  • Documents for funding, banks and the EU taxonomy

06Emergency lighting

Consider safety lighting at the same time.

A conversion is a good moment to look at emergency and safety lighting: it has its own requirements and inspection duties and is often as old as the rest of the lighting.

  • Assess condition and inspection records
  • Refurbishment concept: self-contained or central battery
  • Implementation with a partner or neutrally tendered
  • Coordination with inspection and maintenance

Based on, among others, ASR A3.4/7, DIN EN 1838 and DIN EN 50172.

09FAQ

What you should know up front.

What does the LED check cost?

Nothing. The check is free and without obligation – whichever way you choose afterwards.

How are you paid?

In the partner model the manufacturer partner pays us and your offer comes directly from the manufacturer. In the fee model you pay us by proposal – then we accept no commissions and tender manufacturer-neutrally.

Which manufacturers do you work with?

In the partner model with selected manufacturers of professional LED solutions from Germany. In the fee model we obtain offers from the market and evaluate them against your criteria.

Who installs the luminaires?

The manufacturer's installation partners or contractors from the tender. We coordinate schedule and acceptance.

Does an LED conversion always pay off?

Not always. We calculate it for your sites and only recommend what is economically sound.

Do you help with funding?

Yes. We check which programmes apply to your project and help prepare the documents.

Do I have to convert now because of the EU buildings directive?

There is no direct LED obligation. But minimum standards for non-residential buildings, the end of fluorescent tubes and requests from customers with reporting duties often make the conversion the most economical measure. We check what applies to your building.
